Was traveling through on my way from Boulder to visit family. Brian and Maria were very kind and a dream to do business with. The place was still being restored and it was very exciting to see the historical value of the Glenview. Mt. Carroll is a very quiet and peaceful community and a wonderful getaway. Looking forward to visiting again-- can't say enough good about the experience!
Owners are very accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable, felt like I was staying with friends and not in a hotel. Stayed during a snowstorm and subzero temps. They helped me to locate a plow so I could complete my work. Very close to great food and service at Molly's bakery, Rita's Cafe and Charlie's. 10/10 will stay here again.
It was a great stay at Bridgewater! The rooms are immaculate and Maria was always available. Cute little town with a new coffee shop and great food at Molly's. Alot of history in Bridgewater and not far from Galena! Great weekend, thank you!!
Easy to find in a quaint town. María and her husband are wonderful down to earth hosts. My friend and I stayed here on vintage shop hop weekend and we enjoyed our stay on the 1st floor with adjoining rooms. María said they continue to restore and are working on adding a bar. Love the historical feel and cleanliness too. Highly recommend!
Maria and Brian were great hosts! The newly renovated hotel lobby is very reminiscent of the old Glenview hotel and our room was quaint, they even served us coffee and donuts in the morning. Thanks for the great work of keeping the place up, we'll definitely be back to stay again!

Excellent vintage hotel restored beautifully to 1880's decor by the hosts. This hotel is very reasonably priced with a great location in the center of Mount Carroll and only 12 minutes from Lake Carroll. We are looking forward to our next stay!
What a gem in the heart of Mount Carroll! We had a wonderful stay at the Bridgewater Inn-this historic building has been beautifully cared for while still keeping its vintage charm. Our room was immaculate, quiet, and very comfortable, and you can tell the owners take real pride in the details. Maria was an outstanding host-warm, helpful, and always available if we had a question or needed anything. We loved being able to walk around town and enjoy the small-town feel, including the new coffee shop and a great meal at Molly's. There's so much local history to explore, and it's an easy drive to Galena and the surrounding areas, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. If you're tired of cookie-cutter hotels and want something unique, welcoming, and spotless, this is absolutely the place. We'll definitely be back!
